About Us
The Albuquerque Seniors Golf Association is a golf league governed by an elected board of directors to
sponsor senior (50+) recreational golf tournaments.
We are open to men and women. We play 14 tournaments each year in the general Albuquerque area, Santa Fe
and Socorro including a year-end championship.
We do not have any overnight stays. Membership dues are $25.00 annually.
Our tournament play starts in February and extends through October. An established handicap is not
required.
We encourage our participants to play by the rules of the USGA. As we don’t have judges during the
tournaments, we must police ourselves and our playing partners.
Your playing partners must be consulted on where to drop if a ball is lost, out of bounds, or unplayable
lie. If a dispute arises, a provisional ball may be played,
and the problem can be reviewed by the Board of Directors.
We also have an optional program called the Senior Cup. We award points for tournament winners and for
closest to the pin on selected par 3 holes in each tournament.
Entry fee is $10.00 per year and must be paid by the first tournament.
The three Championship Tournaments are played over a two-week period in September or October.
We have a free awards luncheon in early November or December for points settlement and winners’
prizes.

Ready Golf
Always keep up with the group in front of you. If you’re behind, catch up. Hit when ready. No honors. While others are playing check your yardage and select your club. Take your putter and other clubs to hit around the green. Get in the cart, with clubs after you hit. Do not clean or rearrange clubs while others are waiting. Record scores and put your clubs in your bag at the next tee.
